This challenge is fairly easy, you just take a picture of your favorite spot to read and tell everyone some of your reading habits.Simple and straight forward.
So my favorite place to read (right now) is in my daughter's room. Why? The love seat in there is amazingly comfortable and my husband isn't trying to talk to me in there. I can't read in the living room since there are too many distractions, normally the tv is on when my husband is home. I can't read with the tv blaring, so that also means I don't listen to music. All I need to read happily for a few hours is a quiet, comfortable place.
Finally, since Vicky shared her lovely, organized bookshelf. Here's a picture of my extremely disorganized bookshelf. Why so disorganized? My daughter feels it is her duty to reorganize, buy this I mean rip every single book of the shelf if mom forgets to close her bedroom door. Thankfully, we are moving at the end of the month and our new bedroom has 3 closets (3?! I know right?) So I'm stealing one closet for myself and my books. Then I just have to remember to close the closet door all the time, I'll also be getting a new bookshelf, because as you can tell, I kind of need one.

Wow, your daughter's bedroom does look cozy! And I know, I can't read with the TV on or people talking next to me either :( I've always envied people who can, though.

Aww, that love seat looks extremely cozy! I love it. :D And LOL, you mean she doesn't help you read any faster by lying over the book. o: Hahha, awesome places:) And I like your bookshelf! Sometimes disorganized can be a bit cozy too!

Haha, as soon as I sit down, she hops up onto my lap.. *sigh* silly cats.. It is extremely cosy, the cushions are double stuffed ..mor comfortable than my bed :)

ReplyDeleteI can't read in complete silence but with much noise either. I need a bookshelf too. Mine all sit on my ledge in my apartment. Since the basements are the only onethat have that edge going around it comes in handy :)
It would be handy, but I'm sad for you. I'm not sure about the building you are in, but the one I used to live in beside it floods terribly in the basement in the spring, It's so awful. :( Hope that doesn't happen in your building!

DeleteI live by myself so don't have to escape anyone to read but I know it's hard to concentrate when other people are always after your attention. Looks comfy in there though :)

That sofa in your daughter's room looks so comfy! :) And I know what you mean with babies pulling stuff of shelves. My nephew loves to mess up my mothers dvd shelf and they're just thrown around everywhere!
