I read these two books pretty close together and as far as Contemporary goes I'd probably say they are some of my favorites. They both capture the angst and struggle of being a teen and finding your place in the world pretty perfectly. And although they are alike in many ways, they are also very different. But I'm sure you'll enjoy both if you give them a try :)
