The Monsters of Templeton
Author: Lauren Groff
Teaser:
I yawned and stretched, then told the ghost in my room that I needed a little break. It was lilac colored, had seemed to be pulsating quickly all night, like a rabbit-heart bared, still beating. When I tried to look directly at it, it made itself invisible. My Thoughts: I picked this book up at a second hand store firstly because the unique and beautiful cover really caught my eye. Then I found a quote from Stephen King on the back boasting about how great this book was. And that was enough for me haha, I was sold. It's been sitting on my shelf for a while and I'm glad to finally be reading it because I'm really really enjoying it! Gotta love random finds :)
OHH! Great teaser and the cover is beautiful. I'll have to find a copy of this book :)

DeleteSounds like a great find! I probably would have picked it up for the same reasons. And that teaser has certainly piqued my interest. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a great find indeed! It's so much fun to just take a random chance with a book you know nothing about sometimes :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLol, great teaser -- I will have to check this one out!
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is from THE APOTHECARY'S DAUGHTER by Julie Klassen.
