2013 Challenges

I'm going to be participating in a couple of challenges in 2013. Hopefully I'll be able to get them all done this year!

The first Challenge I'm going to be participating in this year is Anne & Kristilyn's 2013 Book Bingo Reading Challenge. Why? Because it's a very unique challenge and looks like a lot of fun! Plus there are books that I want to read for every category! If you want to sign up or want more details, you can check out the post HERE! Here's what the bingo card looks like:

So yeah, looks like a lot of fun to me! I'm goind to aim for "the super reader" I know I can do it! What am I going to read? I'm not sure of all of the books, but here are some I know I will be reading:

TBR Pile: Under the Never Sky, I Am Number Four, Sweet Evil, Crossed
Series Books: Bloodlines, The Golden Lily, Graceling, Fire, Bitterblue, The House of Night series
2013 Releases: Scarlet, Etiquette and Espionage, Things I Can't Forget, Clockwork Princess
Books Everyone But Me Has Read: All of The Mortal Instruments that are out so far (I know, I'm terrible!), Throne of Glass, Delirium,
Re-Read: All the Harry Potter books (it's about time for it anyways!)

That's what I can think of so far, obviously there will be many more!

The second Challenge I'm participating in is the Dusty Bookshelf challenge. Why? Because I have over 100 books on my book shelf that I haven't read! If you want to sign up, you can HERE! I'm going to be keeping track of this one on Goodreads for the most part!

I'm aiming for Grungy with this one, so 20+ books on my shelf! I can definitely do that, my husband refuses to let me buy books unless I read some, so I have to read them!

Just for example,
Across the Universe, been on the shelf almost a year now, I got it in the Boxing Day Sales at Chapters last year. I also got Under the Never Sky and Delirium at the same time! (There is going to be overlap with the challenges of course) I'm terrible at buying books and then not getting the chance to read them, time to change that now!

Of course I'll be doing the Goodreads Challenge. I'm setting the bar high this year and aiming for 150 books. Can I do it? Maybe, I had to keep setting my goal higher this year because I completely underestimated how many books I could read in a year. I started out at 50 for my goal. I've read over 125 (the final goal I set) this year so far, I'm not done yet! So this year I'm going to set it high and hope I can get it done!

What challenges are you participating in this year?

  3. The Bingo challenge would be just the sort I need. However, I am a complete failure at challenges. I don't think I have successfully completed one in the last two years. As the year goes on I forget about the challenge and then all of a sudden it is December and I have 30 books to read. So, 2013 is going to be a challenge-free year for me. I will have some goals, i.e., keeping up with my review books and whittling down TBR mountain which currently sits at 1400 books.

I know what you mean about the GoodReads Challenge. I have upped mine at 25 book intervals since my original goal of 150 books. I am currently at 259 and expect to have substantial reading time over Christmas Break. I just might get to 270 for the year.

    Good luck with your challenges.

    1. I'm hoping I will manage to get it done, it looks like a super fun challenge! I didn't finish all of my challenges this year, but I think it's always good to have a goal to work towards!

We are now an Award free blog. We love getting them and appreciate that you thought of us, but we really don't have the time to commit for the requirements of getting them.
