My Thoughts:  I just adore books that pertain to mythology and Persephone and Hades are one of my favourite couples to read about.  I believe that this book did the coupling justice and enjoyed the read the whole way through.  I actually stopped for a twenty minute break mid-way through the book (couldn't put it down!) to tell my husband that I had to stop reading because I didn't want it to end.

Persephone is shocked when her mother tells her that she is a goddess.  In fact, she does what any normal person would do and wonders if Demeter needs any psychiatric help.  It is only when Persephone experiences some of her own power that she gives any credence to the possibility that she may in fact be the daughter of the Demeter and Zeus.  Soon after, she is almost abducted and then saved by Hades - only to be taken to the Underworld for her protection.

Persephone flows extremely well.  Enough time elapses to make it seem realistic and true and yet there is never a dull part of the story.  The romance is sweet and realistic.  Persephone and Hades aren't instantly friends and it takes them a little while to warm up to each other even a little bit.  Persephone tests all of Hades limits that he set out eons ago and no one has dared tried before.  Hades reminds Persephone when she steps too far out of line and floats into ignorance.  They are just too sweet for words.

I loved Persephone and can't wait for the second book to be released!    If you enjoy the Goddess Test series, I think this is the perfect book to read while you are waiting for the final book to come out. If you enjoy mythology of any kind you will almost certainly fall in love with this book. I can't sing it's praise enough!
